Pia + Eugene's Lovebirds Wedding

"I personally think that pulling off a destination wedding scores a perfect 10 in the level of difficulty in terms of logistics, budget, and execution. But the greater challenge during our preparations was when my mom succumbed to cancer, 3 months before our big day. I believe no bride-to-be should ever experience such triple stress and difficult emotional situation (not to mention dealing with the "pamahiins" of not pushing through with the wedding because it would be bad luck). But I kept calm and carried on what I believed my mom would have thought would be best for me."

Rebellious Bride Pia on the Challenges of Planning Her Rebellious Wedding

Pia and Eugene wanted a destination wedding where they could have an intimate wedding for just a party of fifty guests. The couple was smitten by Bellaroca and instantly knew they found their perfect wedding venue. Since they wanted a relaxed vibe, they complemented the island with an offbeat theme of "Lovebirds". Think bird's nests, charming colors as in the pastel-colored feathers of the Lovebirds, pretty calligraphy/illustrations, bird houses galore, non-floral elements, and twigs. The result of which was exactly what the couple wanted--a relaxed, 'chirpy' wedding with a light and happy feeling.

Congratulations Pia & Eugene and may you find inner strength and positivity in your marriage, the same way you made it through in your charming wedding.
