Rebellious Idea - Noypi Wedding

There have been a couple of creative and chic Filipiniana and Pinoy Pop weddings in the past, but I reckon they are still a little too "reserved" for my taste. Here is a more "rebellious" interpretation of the Pinoy wedding theme, which I'd like to call "Noypi".

THE FASHION

The Bride in "Maria Clara in the City"
There are numerous ways on modernizing and making the traditional terno into a fabulous piece of couture. For a Noypi wedding, there's nothing else more rebellious-appropriate than an updated terno that looks sexy and chic.

The Groom in "The Guwapings Look"

The polo barong never looked this cool and "pogi" in a fresh, updated ensemble, complete with the "rolled-up" sleeves effect, and a preppy attire to boot.

The Entourage in "Pinoy Pride!"

Give your entourage a reason to feel proud to be Pinoy with fashion statement dresses from the likes of Colezione and Pinoy Lab. Complete the entourage Noypi drama with a Sampaguita bouquet.

THE ELEMENTS

Nostalgic Noypi Moments

Create the nostalgic noypi goodness with all the sentimental shows, celebrities, love teams, superheroes, that we all grew up with--this will get everyone just talking and reminiscing! Use it as props, as table numbers, as invitations, and even as games! Every one will sure to have a good time!

Team Manila

For that mix of cool and artistic vibe, commission professional graphic artists who can create "Manila graffiti" and pop art, designed and created just for your wedding day. These can serve as personalized souvenirs, photo booth backdrops, and pre nup photo layouts.

"Dirty Bar "

Create a snack bar out of Pinoy "dirty food" and snacks, then hire an awesome caterer such as K by Cunanan to ensure that style and taste levels are perfectly combined with the casual vibe.

THE MUSIC

There's no other choice of music for a Noypi wedding such as this!

With a Smile as your SDE music!
(I actually wanted to do this but my husband didn't really grow up in Manila so he is not familiar with the music)

Mga Kababayan, as your couple's entrance song with your entourage!

And to kick-off the dancing after the program, get ready for some
Maricel Soriano dance medley, starting off w/ Rico Mambo! -- Yeah!

POSSIBLE VENDOR FROM THE REBELLIOUS BUNCH

I would have to say, Jason Magbanua. For the sheer curiosity on how he will attack a wedding theme such as this with humor, similar to the music video below :)

This is just a teaser of ideas that we can develop for your Noypi wedding! Are you interested to have a wedding consultant? Email us at rebellious.bride@gmail.com for more details.
