'Till We're Seventy

When your much-awaited "best wedding ever" has been done, when you stow away your wedding gown, never to be worn again (sometimes not just because there's no other event to use it but also because you can't fit in it anymore), and your babies become the center of your universe, a couple can only hope and pray that yes, indeed they will be together 'till they are old and wrinkly. I absolutely love and connect with this video on so many levels. It reminds me so much of how my husband and I watch and re-watch our wedding video during our anniversaries where Jason was kind enough to leave a clip of our vows as part of our DVD features. It reminds me of my own parents who get high from using their senior citizen cards during our Sunday lunches and how they go on movie dates every week. It reminds me of my peg: the old couple from the Titanic movie--of growing old and leaving the world together with the one you love.

Watch Jayne and Jami's beautiful and inspiring wedding film by Jason Magbanua below and tell us if you feel the same way too!

We Are Seekers Goes Film

Wedding Videography in the Philippines has got to be one of the most challenging to break through. The standards are so high because they were pioneered and dominated by innovators the likes of Jason Magbanua, Bob Nicolas, Threelogy, and Mayad. And it's so difficult because you could easily get branded as a "me-too." But there are fresh new talents entering the scene--and if the name of the game before was to "copy" the greats, now, it's all about veering away from what has already been done and finding one's identity. And that's what I love about We Are Seekers' new brand of film making. As RV Dela Paz asserts, they gathered all their learnings from videography from their previous experiences and created a signature style that is proudly their own--something that's not copied from others.

Throwback Thursdays: Kaye + Rap

What was the VERY FIRST Jason Magbanua wedding video you ever laid eyes on? How did it move you? How did it make you feel? I can never forget the first one I ever watched--experienced might even be a better word. I am a lover of all things creative especially when it comes to Filipino talent and I absorb it like a sponge. Kaye + Rap's wedding video (and their 2008 wedding itself for that matter), is one of the most influential visual love stories that probably inspired and evolved the way I view personalized weddings today.
