Here are some Tips that will Help you to Plan your Outdoor Wedding

Are you thinking about planning a wedding outdoors so that you can celebrate your nuptials? Then here are some top tips that will help you to have the best time.

Wind-Proof your Hair

It’s so important that you talk to your hairstylist about any concerns that you might have. When you do, they can then offer you some great tips and suggestions that might suit your hair type and even your personal preferences. If the hairstyle that you want is just not going to hold up if it rains then it may be a good idea for you to have a back-up option just in case. This may require a trial-run, but it could save your day.

Reception Dress

If you know that you are planning on having a wedding in summer or even in late spring, then there’s a chance that the weather’s going to be warm. You would be surprised at how hot a wedding dress can feel when you are on the dance floor too, and the last thing that you want is to feel too overheated to get up out of your chair. If you want to get around this then you need to plan something much shorter and lighter for the last few hours. You will feel way better as a result and you may even find that you feel much more at ease at the same time.

Avoid Stilettos

If a large portion of your wedding day is taking place on any kind of soft surface, such as grass, you have to make sure that you avoid high heels or stilettos. If you do, then you will easily be able to walk much better and you won’t sink into the ground with every step that you take. It’s very possible for you to buy some nice wedges and when you do, you can feel confident knowing that you can easily have the best time while looking and feeling your best.

Focus on Your Backup Plan

Another thing that you need to do is fall in love with your Plan B. Come up with a few things that you love about your backup option and remind yourself of them if you do find yourself in a sticky situation. Ideally you need to put as much effort into your backup plan as you do your main ideas. This will help you to really feel confident that even if something does go wrong, you’ll still be covered.

Use your Website

A lot of people create a wedding website as it helps them to post a lot of information at any one time. You can have a one-page site that contains your menu and even the dress code if you want. When you do this, you will then be able to inform your guests and you may even be able to accept their RSVPs online too. This makes everything way easier and it also gives them the chance to post comments or ask questions. Any last-minute changes can also be added to your site if you want. This is ideal if you are concerned about the weather or if you need to tell them about a diversion on the roads.

Rain Policy

Another thing that you should do is check the contract so you can find out if you are allowed to have any rental items set up on the grounds. If the ground is wet, or if there is a threat of rain then this might affect your entire day, and this is the last thing that you need. One way for you to get around this would be for you to have an indoor venue planned as this will help you to still have the best day without being too reliant on the weather.

Bugs

If you are having your wedding in the middle of summer then you should note that bugs are rife around this time. It’s highly recommended that you invest in some quality citronella candles. You can also have some torches too. When you do, you will soon find that the bugs are kept away with ease and that you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Microphones

Unless you are having a very intimate group then you may find that it’s hard for your guests to hear you right at the back. This is especially the case if you have no walls at all, as they can provide you with some acoustics. A simple sound system is very easy to install and most of the time you may find that your venue can provide you with one if you are willing to pay the price.

Keep Your Guests Comfortable

Your guests are going to be seated for a very extended period of time. For this reason, it’s nice to give them some protection from the sun or any uncomfortable elements. Parasols are ideal if you want to keep them shaded and you may even find that you need to hand out some chilled water and hand fans too. Don’t forget about the person who is going to be holding your wedding rings either.

Packaged Towelettes

It’s always very smart for you to have lots of sunscreen and even insect repellent for your guests. The problem is that most of these options can get very messy and when they do, you may find that they get over their nice outfits too. One way for you to get around this would be for you to invest in some pre-packaged towelettes. This means that the product can be wiped on, and there is no worry about the lotion getting everywhere.

Long Distance

If your guests are going to have to walk a long way between the ceremony site and reception space, then you may want to invest in some transportation. When you do, you will soon find that you are able to provide them with some assurance. Golf cart-style options are ideal here because they are quick and easy for guests to jump on and off.
