Better Than Your Average Wedding

We know that everyone deserves to have the wedding of their dreams. When you think about it, it’s one of the only times in life where you feel as though you’re going to be the only one being looked at. Well, you and your partner, but as the bride, we know that it’s mainly going to be all eyes on us. Depending on how much you like the attention, you’ll probably worry at the thought. If you were the one who would never go to the front of the class to present because you didn’t like everyone watching you, then the thought of a wedding might be enough to scare you off having one altogether. But you have to remember everyone who is there wants to be there to celebrate you. Unlike presenting a presentation in high school, everyone is looking at you because they’re generally interested in your day and how it’s all going to play out. Now, you’re most likely going to want it to play out better than average, and so are your guests. That’s why we’ve come up with this fabulous post full of a few ideas that we know will create a better than the average wedding. Keep on reading to find out more.

Put The Attention On Everyone Else

If you’re one of the people who doesn’t like the attention to be on them, then you’re going to have to grin and bear it through a few moments during the wedding. You’ve got the whole walking down the aisle and saying your vows. Then there’s the speech that you’ll have to do at the top table. Then there are all of the pictures that you’re going to have to have outside, and then there’s the first dance. Other than those times, you can make it so that the attention is on everyone else. The last thing you want to do is leave it so that people are hanging around with nothing to do, so make sure you fill the time with something fun. You could have a magician going around whilst everyone is waiting for the wedding breakfast. You could have performers going around doing acrobatics and anything else they have the talent to do. You could also ask that your photographer take photos of everyone else so that everyone feels like they’re having their own photoshoot. It’s a nice idea to send out thank you for attending cards filled with the photos they have managed to take. As long as you can always keep everyone occupied, you’re onto a winner.

The Small Details That Matter

Now onto the small details that mean it’s going to be a special time for you. Speaking of photographers, you need to find one that’s going to be able to capture you in the best light and make sure that every single photo that’s taken is one to go in the memory book.

Christophe Viseux Photography is just one person you could consider using. You have to love the work that they have previously done, so always make sure you’re checking out their portfolio before selecting the photographer of your choice. There are smaller details that matter, such as whether you’re going to allow children to come or not. Either way, it’s going to cause problems. If parents can’t bring children they might leave early. If they can, they still might leave early because the kids are playing up. That’s why it’s essential to keep them entertained. One idea we love is having a sort of kids daycare in one of the rooms in your location. You could hire a nanny or two for the night to run the room. Kids can play, eat, sleep, and do whatever they need to do to keep the parents there and your wedding going on for longer. There’s nothing worse than a wedding that finishes early because everyone has left.

Midnight Fun

If you can keep the party going until midnight, then you’ve already done well. We’d recommend starting your wedding just before the evening. An early wedding is always going to result in an early finish, and if you want this to be one big celebration then you might be a bit disheartened. So when it does come to midnight, we’d recommend some midnight fun. Perhaps a performance from a group, or silly games that get people howling with laughter. Or you could have a midnight buffet for all of the people who have drunk too much and probably need to start heading home.
