Non-Mainstream Wedding Destination >> Oregon

We have another special editorial shoot to share with you today. The third that we have done from Oregon! But this time around, instead of showcasing gowns and wedding ideas, we wanted to focus on the place itself.

When you think of a destination engagement shoot or wedding location, it seems like it's always the same countries/cities that keep popping up. Just last Summer our Instagram feed was flooded with countless engagement (and even proposal) photos from Japan--like it is the only country in the world to do this.

If you were going to spend so much on creating travel plans for your engagement/wedding/and even honeymoon, wouldn't you want to go somewhere that's not as mainstream? Less crowded. More original. Wouldn't you want to go to a place like this?

Lights & Shadows

How would you try to interpret the feeling of giving love a second chance and being in a long distance relationship? How about visualizing the feeling through a concept of Yin and Yang? That you have to go through the darkness before you can bask in the glory of the sun?

Cass + Sheila in Baler

There are a lot of reasons why Cass & Sheila's prenup session could be considered as rebellious. Might be the shots, might be the fact that there are chandeliers on trees, might be the fabulous outfits. But what is even more striking to us is the fact that the entire team (including the couple) were brave enough to shoot in a Balete tree. A tree so mythical and riddled with scary stories and spooky legends. Getting married is kind of like that in way. Taking a leap of faith into the unknown, part scary, part exciting, but you go ahead with it anyway.

Swept Away

With our own Palawan plans cancelled, and not to mention being stuck in Manila with loads of work to do, one can only dream to escape and be swept away. What makes me feel even more worse than I already am, is the fact that this is the only year in the last 10 consecutive years that I have no Boracay trip scheduled.  So thank you for this beautiful set, Oly. At least we can have this in the blog. To dream of days like Marki and Gun's breathtaking engagement session.

Here Comes The Sun

Can't believe that it's summer already! And what better way to welcome the sunny season by featuring beautiful engagement sessions from all around the country! Take for example JR & Shiela's prenup shoot in the beautiful Bolinao. Be prepared to be amazed, folks. Sounds cheesy but when we see a set like this, it really does make you say that #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines indeed.

Mike Lavarez of Visionary Photography Hub shares:

Young Pangasinenses Shiela & JR is a nature-loving couple who likes to keep things candid & laid-back. Our destination shoot with them at Bolinao was truly unforgettable as they took us to places with panoramic views & cultural scenery. We took advantage of the low-tide by shooting them against the vast shoreline in an all-white ensemble. Next up was at the mystifying underground “Enchanted” Cave & at the Cape Bolinao lighthouse where we capped off the day with a beautiful sunset shoot. One cannot simply leave Bolinao without visiting the rock formations of Patar; we wrapped up the shoot the following the day by doing a layout at this magnificent natural monument fronting the South China Sea.
