Chad & Hi-C's Jologs Pa-Soshal 90s Wedding--In Other Words, Throwback Wedding!

"So it was made. That we will wear sophisticated (more of like pa-soshal) clothes but we’ll not lose our “normal” selves. Thus, we had come up with a jologs with a bit of pa-soshal wedding. And what would be more jologs than the 90’s era? So, give way for a 90’s themed wedding."

There's nothing quite like a couple who's bold enough to make fun of themselves...and their wedding. The bride already explains their wedding all too well so let's start!

RB Hi-C Shares: My husband and I are not fond of being the center of attention unless we are making fun of ourselves or we are performing a song/dance number for our family and friends. We hardly even throw a big birthday celebration. We are a fun loving couple. Everything too serious and too conventional bores us and everything too pretentious is not good to our eyes. We want pretenses but we want it the comical way. Thus, we may opt to look formally sophisticated only if really necessary --- and we believed that it was really necessary for our wedding day.

"To project the 90’s/Jologs theme, our names were matched in F.L.A.M.E.S. (childhood game) printed on our invite and on our cake topper."

"The song I sang as a part of my vow was “Sana’y Wala nang Wakas” by Sharon Cuneta."

"For the reception, the table names were named after the famous love teams in the 90’s like Judy Ann Santos & Wowie de Guzman. Some of the dishes served by K by Cunanan Catering were streetfoods like isaw, tokneneng and taho. We also had a Filipino pasta station with tuyo and tinapa flakes and they also served crackling pork bits."

"Instead of the usual bouquet and garter toss, we asked the gents to play “Dampa” (rubber band game) and the ladies to blow the plastic balloon."

"To complete the fun part, instead of the traditional first dance of the couple, we opted to do a 90’s flash mob for our guests. My husband started dancing alone to the tune of “Pizzicato Five” (made famous by Streetboys) while our guests were having their dinner. I pretended that I was not happy with what he was doing because he left me alone eating. So, I started to pull him back to our seats. The guests stopped eating because they thought we were actually quarreling on our wedding day! Oh it was the best! Then with “Stars by Simply Red” playing on the background, we started dancing together. Then came another 2, and another until we reached to 20 people dancing to the beat of the 90’s."

"No wedding is perfect so was ours. But we love how it was full of love, full of laugh."

Congratulations to the happy couple and may your marriage be as unpretentious and fun as your wedding! As a special treat, we requested for the raw video of their flash mob, and here it is! Definitely a #throwback moment!
