Marian in Michael Cinco's Spring/Summer 2015 Couture


I know this post is like almost 2 months delayed. I actually didn't even want to feature this anymore even if I am a self-confessed DongYan fan just because there might be some "*umay"  factor already. (*umay is a Tagalog term of "get tired of"). 

But I just recently found out that Marian is actually Michael Cinco's FIRST-EVER Filipina Bride and I thought that was quite amusing and interesting considering that Cinco is Filipino. As his first-ever Filipina bride, I cannot help but feel like Marian wasn't just the perfect Michael Cinco bride but she's also the perfect muse. During their prenup shoot in Dubai, she was lucky to have been dressed by the designer in his Spring/Summer 2015 Couture and she nailed it. She even looks more amazing than the models from the said collection's runway show. Check this out!

The first time RB Mica and I saw Dingdong and Marian's teaser prenup photo, we were giddy and totally impressed. We thought it was awesome, we thought it was absolutely unexpected and for that we commend them for being REBELLIOUS.

The DongYan Royal Wedding - What We Know So Far

 Dingdong and Marian are soooooo rebellious and we just love it! What makes them rebellious? Well most celeb couples these days are very sensitive when it comes to sharing the details of their engagements and weddings (and rightfully and understandably so). But DongYan are veering away from how other celebrity brides/grooms/couples do it secretly. Instead, DongYan kept their engagement for two years so that they can revel privately. Then BOOM! Once they decided to share it with the public, they are definitely not half-assing it. They promised to be generous with the details, and they really meant it. 

DongYan sweetly admits that the fans propelled them as love teams and so they recognize that the public, especially the DongYan fans deserve to be part of their wedding preps. This is such a refreshing concept considering that most celebs would rather keep mum about their wedding details. 

 And with the advent of social media, fans are so updated more than ever! From the time of the public proposal, 6 days after and they had a live, web-streamed press conference that announced the date and church venue of their wedding. When asked about the other details, they said that they want everything to be finalized before announcing this but in the week that followed, the royal couple posted on their IG accounts the meetings with their wedding suppliers. 

 So here's what we know so far based on what the couple has been sharing with us!

Proposal of The Year - DongYan

My favourite local celebrity couple finally announced to the public that they are engaged! Woot! They are a rebellious couple in so many ways. Doing their own thing to the beat of their own drum despite bashers and intrigues that didn't leave them for almost 7 years since their first TV show together.

Marian is a rebellious woman. I've always found myself loving her because she's unafraid to be herself. And I  always found myself rolling my eyes on the snooty people who looked down upon her just because she can't speak English based on Filipino society's "standards" whatever that even means. Who effin' cares?!?! She's part Spanish and part Cavitenia (did I spell that right) so she naturally has her own diction. But she's a college graduate, talented, beautiful, feisty, highly professional, and REAL. Qualities that are actually very rare in the industry. They also say she's a war freak--but people don't seem to even care to probe on her side of the story and always somehow opts to immediately believe the side of the other person involved. People love to hate her because I truly believe we have a crab mentality culture PERIOD. But I love her to bits.

I'm happy that they are finally tying the knot. I already have my guesses on who the couple hired for the big day. Do you have guesses of your own? Who would be your "dream wedding team" for DongYan if you had it your way?
