A travel-themed wedding has been a longtime favorite of brides---but a rebellious bride knows how to reinvent. 
Here's how Kate Spade created a whole new look for a travel-themed pattern inspired by far-flung safaris to flower-filled paradises and languid getaways to lush french Polynesia. Presenting May's pattern of the month: TIKI CHIC


 Last month's pattern was in an all-out Turquoise frenzy. This month is coincidentally a play on animal prints, oranges, and....PURPLE! (hooray for RB Mica!)  I love how this collection brings together extreme inspirations and yet they manage to go so well.  I would also LOVE to see an innovative and refreshing  travel-themed wedding that has the same tone and feel such as this. So let's go! :)

Kate Spade Mood Board #8





Kate Spade never ceases to surprise us with their unique spin on things and that's why their collections are so perfect for rebellious wedding ideas! Kate Spade proclaimed that 2012 is the Year of the Pattern and from January's Stripey look, we welcome February with a Spring Collection that introduces us to what Kate Spade calls, the Broadhurst Japanese Floral. The new collection speaks for itself, with Kate Spade's website giving us the story behind their inspiration so read on! :)

We'd love to see the day when bridal gowns suddenly explode with patterns. Last year, Kate Spade revealed their delicious colors via a monthly reveal which we featured here as Kate Spade Mood Boards. For 2012, Kate Spade will be saying good-bye to solid colors to give way to monthly patterns and we are so excited! January is all about stripes and we're so loving this! How about STRIPES as a wedding theme? How about Stripes and color blocks? Or how about Stripes meets Mod? Oh the possibilities are so endless!

Kate Spade Mood Board #6


There really is a reason why I am just in love w/ Kate Spade. My personality and style are just so in sync with Kate Spade! For instance, I've been so in love w/ Navy right now--in fact, the original gown idea for the Vegas wedding was supposed to be Navy (I'm speaking in past tense because I am no longer having a gown made for Vegas. Long story...)Actually, come to think of it, I am just in love with all shades of Blue (especially Turquoise) in general like for instance, coincidentally, without meaning to do so, I am now wearing a pair of Navy ballet flats, a blue paisley skirt, and electric blue shrug as I am writing this haha! So when I've learned that Kate Spade's color of the month is Navy, I was just like--wow--Kate Spade really gets me! Hehe.

Kate Spade Mood Board #5

What's even better than Kate Spade mood boards? Kate Spade's Wedding Belles collection! I just looooove this collection so much! You guys already know that here in Rebellious Brides, we encourage you to be more lenient with allowing your entourage to wear their own dresses. Not only is this more cost efficient for you, but it also gives your entourage their own chance to shine and show their own personal style.
