Become a Power Couple!

While scheming through the pages of Wedding Lab, I noticed a section for "Power Couples" so I got curious and clicked on June's Power Couple of the Month. And I'm glad I did because I discovered this lighthearted McDo-inspired Save-the-Date Video! Take a look!

Apart from Dex and Cayenne's video, I loved the simple but thoughtful details in their wedsite such as the little quiz about the couple right at the left panel of the page and of course--the registry!

Since the couple lived abroad and had no access to physical store-based gift registries, Wedding Lab's symbolical and cash-based online registry definitely helped them a lot. Not only did a relative gift them with a honeymoon fund through the registry facility, but it also helped inform guests what to give the couple on the day of the wedding.

Marc & Mica’s Throwback Thursday

Oh wait, it’s just Tuesday (said the mother who had epidural). As creative license though, we’re calling it #timemachinetuesdays. And there, we’ve found an excuse to reminisce our wedding day.  But we’re doing it in a different way.

Here at Rebellious Brides, we do our very best to curate & try what’s out there in the wedding world. Recently, we checked out this new online wedding site maker called Wedding Lab.  Wish we did use one before our wedding but had fun using it on our imaginary second wedding. In fact, as part of reminiscing, here's our time machine wedsite: http://weddinglab.ph/mmm

WEDDING LAB is in the air!
We really had fun customizing the site and to think we’re not getting married, what more if it’s the real deal? Start by choosing from the super nice looking themes and then personalize the content.

But my favorite part is the gift registry.

Gifts are just representation of the cash value. So your guests will know where their contributed money will go.

It’s a totally new attack on asking for money on your wedding day (the non-tacky way). You can create a category so that the gift-givers know exactly what they're contributing to your wedding, like a Honeymoon Fund or a Baby Fund or a Home Fund. OR you can   invent your own gift registry category! Make it fun and creative for your guests :)

Since Marc & I have a little daughter already and we want to create fun memories with her, we came up with this online registry:

But wait, there's more!

The Wedding Lab

Dabbling w/ the new wedsite service, Wedding Lab

When I was still planning for my own wedding, it was already second nature for me to create our wedsite (wedding website). To me, it was the most practical and most sensible thing to create as opposed to having printed invites and creating a Facebook page. Printed invites are so contrived and wastes a lot of natural resources and carbon footprint. A Facebook page on the other hand, limits the accessibility to only those who are Facebook users and you can't assume everybody has one. And even if most of your guests have FB, you can't also assume that your guests are always active on Facebook. Plus, you are assuming that your guests can easily always see your Facebook Event page when in fact, it's quite unnoticeable that you've been added in a Facebook event. It also assumes that everybody always has access to Facebook when it is actually blocked in some offices.

I can never stress it any further that wedsites are the way to go. But I've always wondered why there wasn't any local wedsite services around. So when we got introduced to the guys behind The Wedding Lab, we were more than ecstatic.

In Wedding Lab, you can create your own wedsite so easily, even Facebook's registration is more complicated! The best part is, it is interactive, you can share stories with your guests, you can link it to your social networks FB, Twitter, and Pinterest, and it comes with your very own dashboard that is so simple and easy to use!
