Prom - The Road to Rebelliousness

Let's interrupt the usual wedding programming for a little bit, shall we? Poveda's 2013 Junior Prom. When wedding giants like Jason Magbanua, For You Are Mine, Madge Lejano, and hosts like The Boys of the Boys Night Out are actually part of a prom--you know this is gonna be fun, right? :)

The best-dressed of the night went to Janna Lejano, Madge's daughter. With a rebellious black Veluz gown, with Madge's amazing makeup, and with Teddy Manuel's creations on the corsage, you know know that Janna's entire look was really poised to be a sensation. Pay attention girls--you want to look awesome? You want to look different? You want to innovate? Then look to wedding artists even if your event is not a wedding.

A Villa Escudero Wedding

Villa Escudero weddings are so charming. Even if it borders on traditional Filipino, there's something about choosing to have that kind of wedding to be very rebellious in its own way. But the wedding video I'm about to share brings to life a different side of Villa Escudero that I haven't seen before. And kudos to Angela & Allen for creating such  interesting details! Matched with the awesome hands of the For You Are Mine team, Angela & Allen's wedding has been brought to life with so much color. Enjoy!

XOXO,
Kai

Alapaap

MangoRed's Marc Santos is special to both me & Mica. He was after all, in both of our weddings, snapping away in separate momentous rebellious weddings in Boracay and at the Ronac Art Center. But that's not the center of our feature today.

Today we focus on the photographer behind the lens in his nifty, pink groom's suit and his own version of Alapaap. Gusto mo bang sumama?

For You Are Mine's Wedding Video Marathon

Nothing beats having a wedding video marathon. I remember doing this in 2008 during lunch breaks with my officemates when I was still single. In fact, that's how I first discovered about Jason Magbanua and his works! This carried on over to watching wedding videos with my husband, then I remember very very vividly, watching Jason's wedding videos in a small laptop, cramped in a house in Baguio with our family and friends December of 2009. Then in 2010 when we got engaged, I remember receiving a compilation CD of Jason's favorite works of 2009-2010 and we watched it with my mother-in-law and she started crying. Fast forward to 2012, and I still watch wedding videos!

But what if you can do your own wedding video marathon WITH JASON MAGBANUA & FOR YOU ARE MINE? Right in their own sleek new office, personally, intimately getting to know each and every shooter, editor, and of course their head, who makes magical wedding films happen?

Here's what you have to do:

For You Are Mine: It's just like Jason Magbanua--only Pinker & more Feminine

THAT'S just exactly how Jason Magbanua describes his second team. And well, pinker & more feminine will always be quite debatable hehe.

Understandably, the videographer god is just...well...human actually. He can't split himself half or even to several parts even if he wanted to (during cazy peak seasons he's got not two but several weddings!). So what to do right?

Some couples hesitate at the thought of opting for the second team. But why? In truth, the second team is essentially the same. They've mentored under the same person, and technically still works for and is headed by the person you wanted to hire in the first place. In Jason Magbanua's second team's case, we can personally vouch for them because we've worked with them for a WHOLE SLEW of other projects besides my own wedding. In fact, Jason's team has already bagged awards abroad as individual talents working under the umbrella, Team Jason Magbanua. If I were to describe his second team though --it would be like how huge designer brands have expanded to a whole new market. Kinda like how Marc Jacobs has Marc by Marc Jacobs, Monique Lhuillier has ML, or Armani has AX.

Need further convincing? I'm done trying to write through my case.

Watch the videos below. Need I say more?
