If there's one situation where rebelliousness is not quite appropriate, it's going against a wedding's dress code. Not only is it rude, you'll also stick out like a sore thumb.

Here are some tips for guests and then later on, some tips for couples on how to help your guests to conveniently understand your dress code.

Tacky Colors - If you don't have a dress that is the same or close to the wedding's color palette, it's perfectly fine to wear whatever colored dress that you have. HOWEVER, there are two colors that are kind of tacky to wear to someones wedding, UNLESS you asked permission from the couple that they don't mind.

Some brides are sensitive when it comes to guests wearing black on their wedding day because some associate it with mourning or even death. If you don't follow the same belief, or assume that she won't mind is besides the point. As a courtesy, ask first if it's okay to wear black.

The same holds true with wearing white. For very obvious reasons, the bride will be wearing white and stealing someones thunder during her wedding day is just a little too much. Again, don't assume that the bride is cool about it. It's not so hard to ask. If the bride says it's okay, then go ahead (but really, even if the bride says it's okay, and white wasn't purposely the dress code, why wear white if the bride is in white?)

Here in Rebellious Brides, we don't mind featuring weddings that have been published elsewhere--especially if it is a rebellious wedding from the Philippines that has been featured in a foreign blog. To us, it's not so much on whether the content is old or new, but rather, it's about unfolding a new side of the wedding story.

Howard & Bernadette's Google Earth Wedding has got to be one of the GEEKIEST yet most CREATIVELY REBELLIOUS wedding ideas -- EVER!

I LOVE The Big Bang Theory! But I never imagined it would be the type of show that would actually be a source for such a rebellious, geeky, ingenious, extraordinary, and beyond heartwarming wedding I have seen on TV.

A travel-themed wedding has been a longtime favorite of brides---but a rebellious bride knows how to reinvent. 
Here's how Kate Spade created a whole new look for a travel-themed pattern inspired by far-flung safaris to flower-filled paradises and languid getaways to lush french Polynesia. Presenting May's pattern of the month: TIKI CHIC


 Last month's pattern was in an all-out Turquoise frenzy. This month is coincidentally a play on animal prints, oranges, and....PURPLE! (hooray for RB Mica!)  I love how this collection brings together extreme inspirations and yet they manage to go so well.  I would also LOVE to see an innovative and refreshing  travel-themed wedding that has the same tone and feel such as this. So let's go! :)

The Wedding Agency - By the Sea Wedding

When Rebellious Couple Dr. Mabeth Rivera and Atty. Karym Laidan commissioned our Wedding Agency service to help them conceptualize and map out the walkthrough of their wedding, they were very clear on three things: They wanted something laid back, creative yet simple, and they wanted the wedding to be in Boracay.
