Sun-Kissed Series - The Elopement

We cannot put into words how excited and honored we are, to have had the opportunity to do this destination elopement collaboration. For one thing, we love beach weddings. We've always been partial to it, we have numerous clients who have hired us to conceptualize beach weddings for them, and to do a full-on beach editorial has been a long time fantasy. Of course, it is not that easy to execute a destination shoot so that's why when BW Ivywall in Panglao Bohol gave us the creative freedom to do this beach elopement editorial, we could not resist and flew to the island in a heartbeat.

Cesca & Tyke's Enchanting Eskaya Wedding

I don't know the couple personally but with everything that they've had to go through during their wedding preps, they truly deserve this perfect, enchanting, romantic wedding set against the beautiful island of Bohol. Their gorgeous Jason Magbanua Film put the couple and their wedding into this incredible dream-like trance like everything was in slow motion, perfectly capturing every moment, every detail of their big day. I loved everything about this wedding---especially those gorgeous string lights and the simplicity of the styling that highlighted the perfect island instead of upstaging it. Breathtaking...absolutely breathtaking. Congratulations Cesca and Tyke, may your marriage be as dreamy as your wedding. Watch their film below! :)

Falling in Love with Eskaya

All my photos were taken from my iPhone 5C unless labeled otherwise

I first found out about Eskaya a couple of years ago---found it not even from a local blog but from the  Kiwi Collection. I was immediately intrigued by it. I thought to myself, "Where is this place and how come nobody talks about it as much?" When I did more research, I kind of understood why. It's definitely not a mainstream resort. It is in the ranks of the Aman Resorts and the Maldives. In fact, it's the "best kept secret" of politicians and celebrities including Kris Aquino, PGMA, Kim Chiu & Xian Lim, and my fave couple Dingdong and Marian.  It's the most premium resort in Bohol and I instantly knew I had to have this on my Bucket List.

The law of attraction has always been on my side, and long and behold I had the honor of experiencing Eskaya first hand last weekend. Here's the first thing we laid our eyes on:

The Rebellious Bride in me instantly knew that this place is a place to fall in love. Whether it's for a proposal, for a prenup, DEFINITELY for a wedding, or a honeymoon, or maybe even a renewal if you're celebrating an anniversary, Eskaya comes out highly recommended. You just have to look at my photos to see why:

Amanda & Chris' "Il Magnifico" Wedding

Photography by Metrophoto

Have you ever seen such a magnificent and colorful wedding that it burns your eyes with so much beauty? I call Amanda & Chris' wedding "Il Magnifico" because the very word is associated with poetic, renaissance art (read The Poet Prince if you have the time).

My absolute favorite weddings are those set in nature and those that are so vibrant with color that your heart feels like it's going to burst into a song. Kudos as always to Metrophoto's Oly Ruiz for bringing us a wedding set that shouldn't even be called "wedding photos" because it's like pieces of infused art. Enough words. Let these photos move you.

Summer: DEFINITELY More Fun in the Philippines

I'm officially back from the Round 3/US trip guys! And though I was SUPER sad to leave the snow and pine trees behind, I am back here in Manila and well, what do you know? It's Summer!

And if you guys haven't figured it out yet, I am quite biased when it comes to beach weddings, even more biased when it comes to Jason Magbanua videos. So I'd like to officially welcome summer with this fabulous Bohol wedding! So many things to love about this wedding & video--the music, the super fun & quirky wedding details and overall vibe, the rebellious bride who poses and struts without a care in the world (she kinda reminds me of Marian Rivera for some reason), TWO weddings in one day (my kind of wedding! hehe),  and a rebellious date to boot! Enjoy!
