The Wedding Agency - "Mateo High" School Wedding

Not a lot of couples can say that they've been together since High School. That's why when Mark and Jasmine got our services to help them conceptualize for their big day, we took the cue from their love story and thought of having a school-themed wedding which we fondly called "Mateo High" --the couple's married surname.

When we think of Tagaytay, there's almost a template as to how an engagement or a wedding would look like. So for the Quirky Creatives team to bring out something entirely unexpected? Definitely bold and refreshing, indeed. 


Noel Salazar shares: "So, from time to time, the creativity itch bug bites us, and we decide to go and shoot something different, and for fun. This is the result of that bite. Hehe. :D"

A Quirky Civil Wedding

We always feel like we are the defenders of civil weddings, just because it becomes soooooo annoying that in this culture that we are in, there is a stigma that civil weddings are not official in the eyes of God, or whatever other judgmental silly reasons others have come up with. In the other parts of the world, a wedding, is a wedding, is a wedding. Regardless where or how it is officiated, it is an official ceremony and one that is just as important and as beautiful as all the others. Take for example my three weddings. Do you know who made the most moving, most memorable ceremony we've had? Not the priest, not the pastor...it was ELVIS. Yes, the Vegas Elvis impersonator. 

 It is after all, LOVE that is being celebrated above all things and that has nothing to do with whether you are having your wedding in the Vatican or in a beach front. That's why we love how Quirky Creatives created a unique concept for Russell and Rachel's civil wedding--that they took it a step further to make the couple's wedding photos as unique and as special as it should be. Enjoy!

Simple But Significant

 Rebellious Bride Ria guest blogs here in RB to tell you about their simple wedding. Yes, the wedding seems rebelliously simple but read her write-up to learn a thing or two about restraining from becoming a "HOARDER BRIDE" -- a term we'd like to use for brides who have the tendency to hoard all the ideas they see, and have the tendency to get all kinds of suppliers just because they've come highly recommended. On a sidenote, this is one of the reasons why we DON'T recommend going to wedding expos because it's too overwhelming and you get the tendency to book suppliers impulsively. We'd also like to note that despite the wedding being seemingly simple, we think that Ria and TL's wedding invitations are one of the BEST ones we've seen so far for the brilliant reason that they refreshingly created details on the envelope flap itself and kept the actual invites as simple as possible.

  Being the only girl in my family and the first to get married at that, I did not have the slightest idea on what to do and where to start with the wedding planning. So, like many other giddy, newly-engaged, bride-to-be, I spent countless hours online looking for inspiration, tips, and resources for the most important day of my and my fiance’s life. With all the available data online for brides- and grooms-to-be, the wedding possibilities are endless that it becomes too easy to lose one’s individuality in the world of themes, colors, quirks, and other what-have-yous. I realized then that the real challenge in wedding planning is really restraint and the ability to stay true to one's personality. Fortunately, early on, I came across this slogan on Pinterest that said, “make it simple but significant.” That became my motto since and I used it as guide in all our wedding-related decisions and details.

Brides In Waiting - A Quirky Creatives Editorial Feature



I love that more and more creative wedding talents are collaborating to share with everyone their various points of view. What's even more exciting is that the ideas are becoming bolder and quite interesting! 

Brides In Waiting. What a simple idea that it's actually right under our noses--yet no one seemed to have thought about it 'till now. Indeed, creativity is in the simplicity. 

Veering away from the usual "posy-posy" glam shoot, Noel Salazar of Quirky Creatives and Nio Manzano joined forces to create an editorialized version of the ordinary things that happen during Bridal Preps.

Weddings at Sonya's Garden

Over the past few years, I have found myself constantly being asked on my own two cents on wedding venues and destination wedding ideas. Having had the time to reflect on this, I have come to a conclusion that Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay is my personal choice for my most highly recommended kind of "anti-reception" wedding if you want to do a destination wedding near Manila.
