Outdoor Indoor Engagement Sesh

Meet Yss and Mike. Self-confessed adventurers. They even got engaged during their hiking trip in Nepal. They wanted to incorporate travel and food into their engagement session but they knew all too well that expectations can be very different from reality. Especially since hiking and diving can get sweaty and messy. So here is their clever solution!

Bonnie and Clyde

Two bankers in love and about to do a heist. Well that's Al & Rose's Bonnie and Clyde alter ego. Yes they really are bankers in real life. And for their engagement shoot, they wanted to be naughty by maybe  doing that one thing that is most likely not in the banker's code of ethics (assuming there is one).

Because let's face it...we have all fantasized about breaking those damn rules once in a while, haven't we? ;)

Dream Sequence

How does love feel? It feels like a dream. But imagine taking that love to the next level? Imagine what being engaged feels? Some people say it's nerve-wracking. Some people say that the engagement part is stressful because of the wedding planning. But it doesn't have to be. Think of it as a giddy, exciting, and happy time. Enjoy the wedding preps and know that you will probably miss it afterwards. Being in-love and being engaged is like a surreal, dream sequence where you feel like you are in a wonderland -- where roses are floating, cupcakes are upside down, and you feel like flying. And this is exactly how Seth & Diosa's engagement session feels like. So whimsical and dreamy!

A Mashup of Cultures

Inspired by colorful gypsies, Arabian nobility, and the bygone vintage era, Kaye and Andal refreshingly opens our eyes to an engagement session beyond the usual. It's a mashup of different influences--the result is a mix of patterns, colors, and emotions, like a melting pot of cultures.

Safari Fantasy

The amount of passion and ingenuity that went on in this shoot is undeniably remarkable. Especially when you find out that the couple wanted to do a Safari-inspired prenup shoot in a place that didn't even have this vibe. Wait what??? Yes, you read that correctly. The couple wanted a Safari prenup and the photography & styling team made it happen magically in a place that couldn't have been farther from being Safari-friendly.

Metrophoto Captures The City of Smiles

The Masskara Festival in Bacolod, Philippines is one of the most iconic, biggest, and most electrifying fiestas in the country.

While most people think the word originated from the word mask, the word "MassKara" is actually a portmanteau of Filipino and Spanish words created by the late artist Ely Santiago which literally translates to a mass of faces. It's also considered a pun on the word "Mascara"--that Filipinos put on a mask of smiling faces during the Spanish colonisation.

The fiesta is a massive annual celebration with parades, street dances, a showcase of local food, and so much more. Every year the masks and celebrations change and evolve but it's always about the vivid colors and the local artistry.

To be able to pull off an engagement shoot in a fiesta of this size is quite unbelievable. Surely, only a rebellious couple would consider it. And Melissa and Wed are definitely of the rebel kind.

No less than our very own Rebellious Bride Mica was part of the team that pulled-off this shoot as the bride's makeup artist. That alone is an indication that this Metrophoto shoot has RB written all over it.

RB Mica Shares:
When I first knew about the Masskara prenup, I got excited! I already knew that it was going to be rebellious. This was C-R-A-Z-Y! We had to follow the moving parade during the shoot. It was very challenging but totally worth it.

Rustic Carnival Prenup

How can you go wrong if you're featuring a couple from the wonderful world of advertising? Agnes is a Client Services Director while Dan is a Creative Director. But because both of them decided not to take themselves too seriously with their engagement shoot, they ended up in Star City.

Although they would have easily opted for a perya -- the Philippine's version of the travelling carnival but much less posh -- had they found one.

Looking at their photos though, you'd think they're in a carnival abroad :)

Wedding Agency: A 50s Chic Prenup

Imagine America in the 50s with the perfect wife and the dapper husband. Bonsai and JP stepped into a realm that mimicked the olden days of impeccably designed homes. An era where looking good and dressing up every day were a staple.

As Bonsai works in an advertising agency, we came up with vintage ads as inspiration for their engagement session. Of course, their personalities still shone through during the shoot, making their photos truly unique to them.

Diana & Arch's Love Myths Prenup

"Love is Blind"
Photography by Nice Print

Diana shares: 2 years ago, when people asked me about Arch, I answered, "He’s my ABCD --- Ang Bagong Constant Date." I was totally clueless that we’d leap from Exclusively Dating to Engaged! So when he popped the question, I was crying uncontrollably, and then asked him back, “Tayo na?!”

True enough, true love can be unconventional, and that’s what we wanted to depict in our Pre-nuptial Shoot: DEFY LOVE MYTHS.
