Mission Impossible: Save the Date

What an epic video! And guess what guys, this was NOT a professionally done video but rather a homemade one by the groom who is a restaurant owner, the bride who is a doctor, and their family who are all kinds of crazy. You guys have to watch this!

Paper Love

My jaw dropped when I saw my cousin's first anniversary gift to his wife in Facebook. It was a work of art! Well, and a lot of engineering and paper folding. But man, this is awesome! And I just had to post it to inspire the grooms out there to be as rebellious as Gino when it comes to gift-giving. He also did a photo wall of their wedding pictures and the frames were all arranged in perfection so much so that the obsessive compulsive persona in you wants to cry with sheer joy. It doesn't always have to be flowers and chocolates, boys. Be creative! Go with something that will make feel extra special and that will be reflective of your love.

Also, this paper book would make for a great Save-the-Date idea. If you can hack it. Or maybe you can hire someone to do it. This would also make for a great wedding decor. Let this be a challenge to all you crafty DIYers and to all of the event stylists who are in love with paper. Beat. This.

And to make us more insecure about our paper crafting skills, here's the bouquet that my cousin Gino made for his then bride Carol. A groom who can make paper flowers this nice??? What a lucky girl! Check our feature from last year about these love birds here:

Cha & Marco's Batanes Save the Date

HELLO DECEMBER! My, my, how time flies! Before you know it, we'd have to write our annual year-end feature! And for sure one of the things that will come out of that is our new found love for Batanes which we've featured several times this 2013. And here we are again with another feature on this majestic, memorable place. The bride already wrote a beautiful and inspiring story about their wedding so here it is!

My Dream Wedding is a Logistical Nightmare:
An Ode to Batanes by Cha

Random Rebellion #51

The video speaks for itself. Such a brilliant idea, executed so flawlessly! Good job as always to The Blacktie Project---but we are all the more impressed with how rebellious the couple is. Though the video is clearly a creative treat, we are also moved by what it symbolizes about love and wedding preps. Kudos!  :)

Grace & Mark's Tonight, Tonight Save the Date Idea

Origami in Motion from ableslayer on Vimeo.

Inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins' Tonight, Tonight music video, Grace & Mark created a vintage romantic horror save the date concept that turned out quite spunky. What is interesting to note is the fact that even if they had Smashing Pumpkins as a peg in mind, they still created their own spin on it--the result of which was a unique interpretation of their own. What's more, this set goes to show how a concept can thrive and flourish into something beautiful when it's in the hands of tasteful talents. We've seen similar ideas that fell flat--but not this one though. Grace & Mark's save the date is definitely one for the books!

"There And Back Again" - A Save the Date Video

"The video itself is very simple. Instead on rooting the concept in our beginnings as a couple or on the present, we wanted it to focus on the future. No glam shots here. We wanted to focus on the feeling of forever (or at least, "for the rest of our lives, til death do us part"). We wanted to show how real it was, how utterly unglamorous it was going to be decades after the fanfare, when all is spent and everyone's gone, and it's just the two of us."

This has got to be one of the most wonderful Save the Dates we've seen so far. Let this be an inspiration to both newly engaged and already married couples to remember what this wedding hullabaloo is really all about in the end.

Save the Affair este Date Video

Riding on the success of TV shows like Temptation of Wife, Jeli & Ersus came up with an unusual Save-the-Date drama concept that insinuated on having an affair---an idea that other couples wouldn't probably dare to play around with.
