Outdoor Indoor Engagement Sesh

Meet Yss and Mike. Self-confessed adventurers. They even got engaged during their hiking trip in Nepal. They wanted to incorporate travel and food into their engagement session but they knew all too well that expectations can be very different from reality. Especially since hiking and diving can get sweaty and messy. So here is their clever solution!

Cass + Sheila in Baler

There are a lot of reasons why Cass & Sheila's prenup session could be considered as rebellious. Might be the shots, might be the fact that there are chandeliers on trees, might be the fabulous outfits. But what is even more striking to us is the fact that the entire team (including the couple) were brave enough to shoot in a Balete tree. A tree so mythical and riddled with scary stories and spooky legends. Getting married is kind of like that in way. Taking a leap of faith into the unknown, part scary, part exciting, but you go ahead with it anyway.

Charm & Raygan's Singapore Love Affair

Ahhhh. Singapore....you gotta love Singapore. It's one of my favorite cities in the world! Singapore has a special place in our hearts. Why? We have a LOT of RB  readers from Singapore. In fact, while I was shopping at Typo during one of my SG trips, one of our most loyal readers, Armie approached me to say "Hi." I have always imagined what it would feel like to actually be stopped in public by a reader--I thought I would look glam --alas, I was not hahaha--I was awkward because I felt so haggard at that time. I digress...

Prenup Idea from DongYan

Rivermaya just released the music video of their new song "Tayo Lang Dalawa" -- and it features the soon-to-be-married King & Queen, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. The video is like a prenup video! In fact, it was styled by no other than Miss Kayce Team/KC Leyco who styles most of our editorial shoots and is one of the most sought after prenup stylists today. Watch the video below!

The Las Casas Prenup

Photography by Michelle Pineda

We are forever fans of  "Classic w/ a Twist" prenups! (Review our blog: Rebellious Prenup Workshop HERE). We believe that all you really need to make a prenup rebelliously fabulous are just 3 essential things:  interesting venue, statement outfits, and a GREAT photographer. But in the end? It always boils down to photography if you ask me.

And that's what I love about Lilay and Bebet's prenup. They have one of the most uncomplicated prenups I've seen but it is one of the most beautiful out there. This set, though done in Bataan, reminds me so much of Versailles--it has an old world, romantic, French flair to it that feels so dramatic.

Their photographer Michelle Pineda has this to share:

Wedding Agency: The "Powered by AC" Prenup

Photography by Metrophoto

My, my,  I am oh so blown away with this prenup set from Metrophoto!

Why you might ask? Photographers are aplenty....but photographers who are also ARTISTS are but a handful. And Oly nailed this concept. We know because we were part of Chel & Allan's wedding conceptualization process.

When the couple approached us, they were dead set on having a Telco-themed wedding because they met at Globe. But actualizing their dream concept was a challenge because it was hard to think beyond the usual cell site towers. Some of the the design elements we proposed included fiber optic layout designs, using the color blue (in reference to globe), ribbons in reference again to globe, and focusing on "ties that bind" and how telcos inevitably is about human connections. We then came up with the wedding theme title "Powered by AC."

It's amazing how this prenup captures that very concept. How Oly started with the "obvious" then played with the concept visually in ways that you wouldn't think of is beyond unbelievable because it shows how willing and able he is to embrace a couple's theme and take it to the next level. For instance, who would have thought that a dancing fountain shoot can actually appear like fiber optics?!?! And that's not even half of what makes this set amazing. What is even amazing to me is the fact that Chel and Allan decided to switch photographers and eventually got Oly. Just goes to show that some unexpected twists during wedding preps are sometimes, oh so worth it.

Cha & Marco's Family/Pamamanhikan Prenup

Prenup by Joel Salindong, Gabriel (G3) Duyor / Studio Namu

You may have recognized Cha & Marco from our special feature entitled: How to Create a Rebellious Brunch Wedding. And because they already had that moment when they had a shoot all to themselves, they decided to create a prenup that included their entire family. The photos are so beautiful! And I love the idea of involving loved ones during the engagement session because it allows everybody to bond and it also allows everybody to practice for the actual day. After all, a wedding/marriage is not just about the couple but it is also a union of two families and in other cases, even a union of your best of friends. Doing a family prenup is also much more meaningful don't you think? And it exudes a certain kind of emotion that is more than just the usual prenup ideas we see today.

A Bride Idea from 4-Year Old 'Mayhem'

This is too cute for words! She's probably the youngest creative mind that we have ever featured for our Bride Ideas. Meet 4-year old, 'Mayhem' (that's what her mom calls her on social media, perhaps a pen name to protect her privacy..good idea!). She makes her own paper outfits. And she is absolutely good at it. Don't you think this could make a great peg for a prenup session? Or even as an interesting reception styling idea for a photo booth! Here are some of my faves.

Huffington recently featured her and how her mom allows her to hone her creativity. Read it here:

A Smurfy Prenup

Photography, Styling, and 3D Animation
by Visionary Photography Hub

Today we are in the mood to take things to a more whimsical and happily rebellious level. A Smurfy one at that! Visionary Photography Hub is already the top-of-mind when it comes to photo sets that are on the kick-ass edited side. But when it's the couples who actually come up to them and say--hey we want a Smurfy Prenup, then you have a match made in heaven right there. We are just totally amused and quite impressed with how Jassen & Denise can have such cute sense of humor! And there's no other way to describe this prenup other than the fact that they wanted the Smurfs to be part of their engagement session. Smurftastic!

A Cosplay Prenup

"It may take a lot of courage for some people to express their true selves. But for us, it's like being free and out in the open for the first time." -- RB Maan

Photography by Barry Millare

What better way to celebrate October than with a series of highly conceptualized, role-playing prenup and wedding ideas? We started with an Arabian Nights wedding, and now a Cosplay prenup! How exciting! Rebellious Bride Maan wrote a wonderful write-up for this feature so go ahead and be transported to the interesting world of an Otakus couple!

Rachelle & Nino's Collective Prenup

The rain has passed and now it's time to move on with more positivity and a dose of good vibes. There's not much to say here other than the fact that Rachelle and Nino were determined not to make their prenup the 'usual' and more-than-the-usual it turned out to be indeed. Props to the team over at Quirky Creatives for making this set look cool as opposed to downright grimy--which could have easily happened with the wrong photographer. Enjoy!

Karla + Earl's Meteora Prenup

Photography by Jayson and Jo Anne Arquiza

While answering an email from an RB reader who was seeking our recommendations for intimate wedding venues near Cavite, one of the suggestions that we made was Meteora Tagaytay. And while we were looking for reference links that we could provide to our reader, we stumbled upon this romantic prenup from Jayson and Jo Anne Arquiza that we couldn't resist sharing with you all. Here's another example of a "Classic w/ a Twist" type of prenup. Karla & Earl's prenup was a rebellious idea in a sense that it had the vibe of a love nest. But then with the tasteful hands of Jayson & Joanne plus the eye of RabbitHole Creatives, the look became quite timeless---evoking feelings of a getaway trip to the South of France. Here's more!

Marianne & John's Behind-the-Scenes Prenup

Marianne & John Engagement Shoot BTS from Joanna Eduardo on Vimeo.

When Marianne submitted to us their prenup, we liked the fact that she put more focus on their behind-the-scenes video. To her and John, the BTS was worthy of its own feature because it captured so much more facets of the prenup itself. And we couldn't agree more!

We are fans of BTS shoots! In fact in our own respective weddings, RB Mica and I had second teams to capture the behind-the-scene moments as well. Sometimes, it's as simple as getting a friend, relative, or new talents who are more than willing to do it as a gift or to build their own portfolios. But a word of caution. Having several teams hovering over you can get ugly. Sometimes, there are also photogs/videogs who are uncomfortable with having other teams around just because it means that the space and time allotted to shoot with you becomes even more limited and challenging than it already is(especially when the time is already tight to begin with). So don't get a BTS team if there's too many in your wedding team's respective head counts or maybe assign your BTS team to cover other aspects of the preps besides you and your groom.

Here's more from Marianne:
